  • Use Photographs
People love photographs – clicking them, sharing them and downloading them. If you need any proof read Business Insider’s article  on how Facebook users are uploading 350 million photos per day.

Pinterest, Instagram and so many others social networking sites succeed on this very love for photographs. So take out your cell phone, start clicking pictures and add them to what you’re trying to say. Haven’t you heard? A picture’s worth a thousand words.
  • Create Infographics
Ask yourself this – between a page with facts and figures written in paragraphs and the same represented graphically, which are you likely to learn better from? The same answer applies to your audience. Neonam’s brilliant illustration demonstrates how the brain learns better visually. Get more creative! Do a little extra research and make the mundane and boring look interesting and exciting.
  • Use Audio
Got a sudden divine inspiration but no place to write the ideas down? You’re not the only one.

Many of us get our best ideas when we’re on the move or not near a writing device. Don’t worry, most smartphones today have a recording software and even a transcription one to convert your audio message to text. Also, contrary to what you might think, a large number of people listen to podcast  and audio content while driving, etc. That’s an entire segment of audience you’re missing out on. So get cracking!
  • Try Video
Now that you know how well photographs and audio work, and that people retain visual content better – mix all these components together and you have a fantastic video!

Videos are all over the World Wide Web. More than 6 billion hours of YouTube videos  are watched per month! What better statistics should I use to convince you other than this? Apart from YouTube, TED Talks, Vimeo, Hulu, Blip.tv and many others are great video sharing sites for your content marketing campaign.
  • Use Animation
Heard of GIFs? Look it up. GIFs are one of the trendiest things in the world of content marketing right now. They are amusing, entertaining and most of all, viral! There are giving tools available for both Windows and Mac.

Everybody has their own preferences for content. But the more interesting and engaging your creation is, the more it will be shared. And in these times of cut throat competition and information overload, only words won’t do. So, put on that creative cap, and get started.
